Airport information
Welcome to Oslo Seaplane Base – home of Kilen seaplane club. This scenic water aerodrome, situated in the heart of Østlandet, provides a great arrival point and infomation cluster for seaplane pilots exploring Norway by air. We warmly welcome visiting aircraft, but due to the nature of our operations and local conditions, Prior Permission Required (PPR) is mandatory for all non-based traffic.
Restrictions on departures - Lilleøya graveyard
As a general rule, avoid departures on Thursdays in odd-numbered weeks between 12:00 and 14:00. Landings are fine during this period. Thursday 21 May is the first applicable day.
Casket burials are rare but may occur at other times. When they do, a message is passed on to all members in advance.
Nature reserve (buoy at the fuel dock)
Regarding the buoy by the fuel dock: make sure you NEVER taxi or pass south or southwest of the buoy toward Fornebulandet. If you do, you are inside the nature reserve and may be reported.
Departure routing
Depart to the west as far as possible. If you must take off to the east, make sure to taxi past Veritas so you gain as much altitude as possible over Fornebulandet. Climb as straight out as you can.
We operate under a concession from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority and maintain strict safety, environmental, and operational standards.
To request PPR, please contact the chairman of the club Jon Andre Løkke (styret@kilensjoflyklubb.no)
Fuel, we sell Avgas 100LL from our on-site fuel facility. Please contact Håvard Kinnerød (havard@kinnerod.com) for fuel availability, pricing, and access. There is no self-service.
Parking space, the green boxes shows parking spaces available for visiting aircraft
Taxi instructions, do not taxi in the Nature reserve (pink area in the map below). A buoy is marking the border to the reserve.
